A former mill town in what is now known as Connecticut's Quiet Corner, Killingly has the largest school district in northeastern Connecticut. Our community is located about 15 miles south of Massachusetts and on the Rhode Island border. Major access is through Interstate 395, which runs north/south through the western side of Town. Killingly schools enroll approximately 2,800 students, PreK - 12: Goodyear Early Childhood Center in Rogers houses both pre-school classes and the family resource center. Two elementary schools, Killingly Central School in Dayville serves PreK, K, and Grade 1 and Killingly Memorial School in Danielson, serve grades 2-4. Killingly Intermediate School in Dayville serves grades 5-8. Killingly High School, the Regional Agricultural Educational Program. Grades 9-12 are located at Killingly High School in Dayville. The former High School building at 79 Westfield Ave. currently houses the District Central Offices, and a private Special Education School, the Northeast Regional Program. Our schools share a long history of service to the community.
