TST was founded in 1978 with a very simple philosophy: if you provide customers with superior products that perform to the highest standards, they will want to do business with you again. And that philosophy is still the guiding principal nearly 40 years later. We started off with a single product, TST 5000 with PTFE, a paint sealant. And today we... manufacturer more than 30 different products designed to help prevent and protect against rips, tears, burns, spills, discoloration and a long list of other problems a modern vehicle might face. Our products are the best in the industry, with many OEMs referring their dealers to us to resolve paint contamination and other claims. But as impressive as our products are, it is the people that make TST truly unique in the industry. Our founders had extensive backgrounds in chemicals and coatings, with resumes that extend far beyond the automotive market. A few accomplishments they achieved before starting TST include: Developed the coating and cleaning systems for NASA's Mercury, Gemini and Apollo space programs. Wrote the cleaning specifications for the U.S Navy's boiler, hydraulic and desalination systems for the Atlantic fleet. Racked up 42 years as a research chemist for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, heavy chemical, textile oils, soaps, electronics and foundry companies, with seven current U.S. patents. But a chemical background isn't all they brought to the table. To have a successful chemical company geared toward the automotive market, we needed expertise in the needs of that industry as well. Our third founder had extensive experience in the auto world, owning and operating multiple dealerships and serving on the GM Dealer's Council. We have continued that drive toward excellence.
