Mike spent 6 years in the Navy right here in San Diego in addition to graduating from UCSD with a Degree in Management Science. Mike set out to create a unique shredding company and really focused on his customers and what they needed. Mike quickly recognized the demand within the residential customer base and decided that individuals needed a secu... re place to bring their material for destruction and they also needed the option to witness the destruction process if they wanted to. Mike built an incredibly successful and loyal client following of customers that have been using his services for years. In addition to his residential customer base he grew his business on small to medium sized businesses that were looking for and appreciated great customer service and did not want to be treated like just another customer. Mike also designed his own website and is very passionate about the IT world. In 2006 he decided it was time to go pursue his passion and sold Total Secure Shredding to Todd Hoover and Desiree Chiles, who also currently own Proshred Security. Todd and Desiree purchased the franchise territory rights to San Diego and Imperial Counties in 2010 under the Proshred Security Franchise. Since 2010 they have grown Proshred San Diego along with the Total Secure Shredding acquisition into one of the largest independently owned shredding companies in San Diego.
