Total Fire Solutions was founded in 1999 by my wife Linda and myself, with a vision to create a "total or one stop shop" fire protection company committed to Hunter mining and heavy industries. It was built then and remains focused on a "do it once and do it right" philosophy via people who are passionate, innovative and excited by technology. We h... ave enjoyed a success that has enabled us to grow to a company that today employs over 80 staff, located in four offices across regional NSW. We believe that a large part of our success is due to adhering to our core family business values. Total Fire Solutions remains focused on mining. Our purpose is to lessen the fire and associated risks confronting the worl\'s largest mining equipment and support international based mining companies whom trust us with providing leading, innovative and reliable fire protection solutions. Equally important however, are the several satellite divisions which have risen out of the need to offer Total Fire Solutions to the hundreds of mining service providers/contractors and their thousands of customers. Although starting from humble beginnings, it became evident very early that our divisions differed significantly from the operating needs associated with mining, therefore and recognising these differences, we set about entirely segregating their operating corporeal and managerial structures. Proudly, our satellite divisions are significant contributors to Total Fire\'s overall success. Our commercial division boasts a staggering 3000 plus customers and we use skills learnt in mining to quickly ramp up or scale down our major contracts divisions, thus meeting the resource demands of multi million dollar electrical and/or plumbing contracts.
