Let us take you back in time to when the Bergervoet family first entered the recreation industry. In the 1970s, founder Janus Bergervoet noticed that more and more people were returning to the same holiday destination. He therefore founded a company selling mobile homes to consumers. With his innovative models, he sparked an increase in sales of mo... bile homes in the Netherlands in the 1970s. Soon, Bergervoet saw that his customers were not only looking for high-quality mobile homes, but also for the right locations with the right range of facilities and the right ambiance. He thus started to buy land in unique locations across the Netherlands and create a unique holiday experience by matching the facilities to the guest. Over the years, Bergervoet has operated no fewer than 70 holiday parks. With this experience, it was time for him to take the next step. In 2004, together with his children Peter and Riekie Bergervoet, he founded TopParken, which consisted of several holiday parks. Through TopParken, they wanted to offer high-quality holiday parks and accommodation across the Netherlands. Mobile homes were increasingly being replaced by fully-fledged holiday homes, equipped with all modern conveniences and facilities. Following the success of the first TopParken holiday parks, they soon expanded to the Veluwe. During the years that followed, lots of new holiday parks were added to the portfolio. As a result, the family was able to significantly increase their range of holidays.
