Tocino Alpacas

Tocino Alpacas is located in beautiful Salmon Arm, BC, Canada. Craig and Heidi Bacon own and manage Tocino Alpacas, a superior quality alpaca farm. We purchased our Foundation Breeding Females in 2004 from Daniel and Barb Eslake of Rainbow Forest Acres. All our alpacas are double registered huacayas, the vast majority of which are full Peruvian. Al... l of our initial breedings were purchased through stud services from proven, superior studs. In 2009 we purchased Aztec Inukshuk, a fantastic stud out of S. Accoyo Artic Ice from Aztec Alpacas. We are so proud of his offspring, whose awards include a Best in Show, a Supreme Champion Fleece, and numerous Champion and Reserve Champions. His offspring continue to perform admirably at shows. Our other award-winning males include Tocino's Matrix, Tocino's Storm, Tocino's Dante, Tocino's Genesis Express, Tiger Tale Teemu and Tocino's Popcorn. Tocino's Popcorn is one of the finest alpacas ever produced in Canada. His first shearing fiber sample (at 10 months) was an incredible 12.6 microns. Tocino's Genesis Express has a very impressive 15.1 micron fleece at third shearing. We promote alpacas and alpaca products through our farm visits, numerous farmers markets and craft & Christmas shows. We are very active in promoting the Western Canada Alpaca Championship through the BCLAA. Craig is the current President of the British Columbia Llama and Alpaca Association (BCLAA), past President of Alpaca Canada (AC), and past Director of the Canadian Llama and Alpaca Association (CLAA). Heidi is also a web designer. She designs and maintains a wide range of websites, from various alpaca and equine farms to traditional businesses, clubs and associations.
