The owner of Titan Industries had purchased several Shipping Containers in order to "flip" and resale at a higher price. When the deal fell through and the containers had not been purchased, the containers were stored on a piece of land located next to Titan Industries. When all hope was lost and the containers started to lose value, a phone call was made by a Walmart manager asking about renting them for storage. At that point, A lost cause had changed to a profitable business transaction once again, but with a higher positive future outcome. That outcome would lead to the desire to provide storage to local businesses in the Greater Houston area at a lower cost and more efficient service than leading competitors. Once established as having Walmart as their number one customer, the Board Members sought out more business in residential sales and rentals.
