Partners Linda Brady and Jean Raveau-Violette named their childrens wear company TIKI after their daughters Timoney and Markia. Compliments from people that saw their girls dressed in fun bell bottoms and fun prints gave Jean the idea for them to start a business. Linda and Jean design and manufacture their collection in Brooklyn since 1993. In ord... er to keep their clothing unique, Linda and Jean start with selecting unique prints that would be printed on limited yardage with all styles made in house. As a result, the collection offers better quality styling that is comfortable as well as easy to wash and wear. Customer satisfaction is a priority. The success of TIKI comes from working closely with juried fairs, school events and fundraising programs since its beginnings. This soon lead to several years of having the TIKI fashions in boutiques throughout the country. The direct contact with customers and the positive response has been a vital element for the brand. With over 20+ years together they celebrated a fantastic love for each other that created a beautiful family and a wonderful business. On April 10, 2010, Jean Raveau-Violette passed away at his family country house in France surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Linda continues the TIKI brand using the great source of inspiration from her loyal customers, and with renewed dedication and respect to the work her and Jean created over the years.
