Wright and Associates CPAs was founded by John R. Wright, CPA on January 1, 1982. Mr. Wright had been employed as an auditor and business consultant at Ernst & Young for seven years prior to forming his own firm. For sixteen years, the firm operated under the name Wright, Richardson & Co., Inc. which was formed in August of 1988 as a result of the merger of the accounting practices of Wright & Associates (the "Firm") and that of James P. Richardson, CPA. The two practitioners in merging their practices, sought to combine the talents and business resources of the founders in order to provide an additional resource for small and medium sized business enterprises and non-profit organizations seeking quality, cost effective accounting and auditing services.
