Samantha is a Certified Athletic Therapist (Provisional) as well as a First Responder. Samantha received her Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College where she also competed for the Sheridan Bruins Varsity Womens Basketball team. Sam has experience working in a wide variety of settings within the Athleti... c Therapy realm. She has worked with many athletic teams including Ontario provincial basketball girls U14 and U15 teams, Ryerson Universitys Womens Basketball program, external coverage with lacrosse, hockey, track and field, OFSSA volleyball, and our local North Bay Bulldogs football program. Samantha was also the recipient of the Canadian National Basketball Scholarship and worked at the National Training Centre in Toronto Ontario working with Canadas most elite level U16, U19 and Senior Mens basketball athletes. Gaining further experience in a professional environment with Canadas NBA and Professional players providing Athletic Therapy coverage at external contracts such as OVO basketball tournament, FIBA World Cup Qualifiers (vs. Nigeria), and FIBA AmeriCup Qualifiers (vs. Dominican Republic). As an Athletic Therapist, Samantha specializes in on-field emergency care, sideline and clinical return to play, clinical assessment and rehabilitation, manual therapy, and exercise prescription. Samantha was born and raised in North Bay and is thrilled to be returning back home to rejoin the community.
