The Watershed

THE WATERSHED is Tempe's lakeside kitchen, patio and bar. While locally owned, The Watershed brings a little Newport Beach, San Francisco and New Mexico to the table. The Watershed is also situated on one of the most unique locations in the Valley. Overlooking a beautiful lake, the patio seats over 200 people on outdoor couches, large and small tab... les, bar seating, a fireplace on a beautiful deck, and redwood picnic tables on a large lawn. The interior has a 50 foot long bar, booths and a "Captain's Lounge. We have 10 large screen HD televisions, games and live music throughout the week. Our cuisine is best described at Modern American with a twist on familiar classics. Everything is from scratch and to order. Our bar features 20 beers on draft, Specialty and House Cocktails and an inspired wine list. The name, "The Watershed," gets its inspiration mainly from the watersheds in the southwest. John Wesley Powell (yes, the Lake Powell, Powell) defined a watershed as, "That area of land, a bounded hydrologic system, within which all living things are inextricably linked by their common water course and where, as humans settled, simple logic demanded that they become part of a community.
