The Transformation Centre

The Transformation centre is run by a vibrant team of passionate, committed and socially aware youth workers, educators, mentors and coaches. We teach young people how to Think Big, Dream Big and Achieve Bigger. By raising their levels of aspiration, we positively transform the life chances of children and young people everywhere. We runs projects... to directly meet the needs of members of the local community and provide opportunities for positive change that may not ordinarily be accessible. Based in the heart of Aston, at the gateway to the city of Birmingham, but our work covers the U.K. We work with children aged 9-19 working on anything from academic mentoring and behavioural support, to in-school coaching, raising the aspirations of students who are often statistically not expected to amount to anything. Our aim is to help young people who face increasingly complex and challenging issues, to address those issues, while encouraging them to remain in education, work hard and gain qualifications that they can be proud of, and that can give them the power to change the direction on their lives. We do this by working in partnership with schools to give their students the extra support they need to break negative behavioural trends and attitudes and inspire positive change through on-going programs and activities. We believe Mentoring is one of the most effective ways of helping a young person to discover their potential. Working with a mentor will improve their chances of success and enable them to create a plan of action, giving them the tools and strategies they need to live their best lives. Mentoring isn't just for the 'bad kids' and our mentoring programme reflects that. We focus on finding and nurturing the seeds of potential that every child has, enabling them to flourish.
