The Studio School

The studio school, founded in 2012, is a small art school dedicated to the idea that to learn to draw (and paint) is to learn to see. It is a place for students to reach their full potential under the mentorship of our gifted instructors, each a working artist. All levels of student are welcome, and a passion for creation and growth is nurtured and... fed. Art class sizes are small enough to allow for maximum student-instructor interaction, giving students the opportunity to really grasp the skills and tools that are offered. Lind Hollingsworth is a teacher and a painter who works in mixed media. With a degree and early career in architectural interior design, Lind approached her art career through education after earning a Master Degree in Art Education. In her almost thirty years of teaching, she taught elementary public school art, and owned and operated The Art School. The Art School projects were great for portfolios and many of her students have been accepted into Savannah Arts Academy. Lind also taught Art Appreciation and Art History at Columbia College on local Army bases. Tatiana von Tauber has owned The Studio School since 2015 after a sudden change of life purchase from its founder, Melinda Borysevicz. Tatiana maintained the "atelier" factor at the downtown art studio in Savannah for five years, providing life drawing and art workshops to a local community of artists. Due to Covid-19, the brick and mortar studio has closed and until further notice, Tatiana teaches online art to beginner and intermediate level students so they can become confident artists no matter what age or skill they are at. Some of our amazing past instructors have included Michael Reibel, Karen Bradley, Angela Cunningham, Jeff Hein, Megan Euell, Thomas Mitz, and many more local artists from the Savannah region.
