About The Sittee
The Sittee was born in 2018 when my daughter, Olive, entered the world. I was ecstatic about having my first baby but I dreaded all of the inevitable floor time. I already had a bad back and neck and knew playtime on the floor of our apartment or the grass of Central Park/Carl Schurz would be far from comfortable. Once I started to take Olive out to baby music classes and new parent meet ups in the neighborhood, I constantly found myself sitting on the floor and strategically trying to secure a spot against the wall (if there was one!) at the various venues. At the same time, I was working to perfect my juggling act - grabbing my baby in one arm while in the other, struggling to carry my bulky diaper bag and my own personal belongings in the other! Talk about coordination! And before I knew it, the Sittee was born!
