The Sideline

Established in 2003. The Physical Therapy Clinic provides progressive, one-on-one physical therapy services, based upon current research. The professional staff includes Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants who provide care for patients of all ages and all conditions, with an emphasis on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, patien... t education, orthotics, and isokinetics. The Sideline also provides sports medicine outreach coverage and injury assessments for the local school systems. The Fitness Center is accessible to members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is equipped with Hammer Strength and Life Fitness cardiovascular and strength equipment, dumbbells, jump ropes, yoga mats, swiss balls, plyometric balls, a boxing area, and a play area for children. The Sideline offers fitness assessments, equipment orientation, fitness advice, special programming, incentive programs, group exercise classes, and Certified Personal Trainers. Located in the historic Varsity Theatre on Oxford Street in Downtown Martin, The Sideline is home to a Physical Therapy Clinic and a Fitness Center. This historic theatre was originally constructed in 1947 and was purchased and renovated by Brian Wray Smith, Physical Therapist and owner, in 2004. The Physical Therapy Clinic originally opened on Lindell Street in 2003 and moved to the current location on Oxford Street in 2005 when the business expanded to include the Fitness Center.Read More
