In 1999, as an undergraduate at The University of Virginia, Walter Slawski set up a catering company focused on serving organizations associated with The University. By the time he completed his bachelor of arts in economics, catering had stolen his heart. In tribute to a magical African childhood and to satisfy his growing love affair with food, he opened The Shebeen Pub & Braai in March of 2003.Read More
