We also offer a wide variety of CLASSES, clubs and programs year-round and send out our monthly schedule via email newsletter. All events are listed in-shop, online and on Facebook so customers can view our class roster from anywhere! We have an extensive beginning program for all of the different quilting disciplines: basic machine piecing and qui... lting; free motion quilting; applique; paper piecing; English paper piecing; hand-quilting; and more. The QP also offers a broad range of intermediate to advanced classes including landscape quilts; raw edge mosaic applique; various totes, bags and purses; and advanced piecing. We also regularly play host to guest teachers and national instructors including the likes of Kaye England, Charlotte Angotti, Karla Alexander, Penny Haren, Patsy Thompson and Linda Poole. Furthermore, we also host three offsite, demo-filled retreats for 150 quilters annually. SAMPLES have always been our favorite way of inspiring our quilting clientele. Our 200+ samples include quilts, wall hangings, pillows, table runners, placemats, centerpieces, purses, wallets, rugs, aprons and various hand-embroidery projects. Moreover, samples range both in style (from modern to Civil War) and complexity (from done-in-a-weekend to long-term, hand-pieced projects). Best of all, the overwhelming majority of our samples ARE made up in color ways different from what's pictured on the pattern so as to give customers multiple color options. Our carefully selected FABRIC ASSORTMENT is balanced to offer quilters of many styles a wide variety of coordinated large, medium and small prints; solid reading accents; and background fabrics.
