5 years after intensive market research in the field of repair of electrical installations and rotative machinery “D. R. POWER SERVICE, S.A.” (DRPS) was established in the beginning of 2006 to cover the lack of qualified services in the Dominican Republic. In 2007 General Electric (GE) selected DRPS as the exclusive representative for Gas motors an... d gas fired gen-sets (JENBACHER) for the Caribbean market., In 2000 “DSD Construcciones y Montajes, S.A.” (DSDCM) was established as a special purpose company for the construction of the power plant in San Pedro de Macorís. During 2006 MAN Ferrostaal decided to sell the local entity DSDCM to a local investor group and to sign a long term cooperation agreement with the new administration. In 2007 the “TEAM INTERNATIONAL GROUP” with headquarter in Houston / USA entered in a Joint Venture with DRPS, called “CARRIGGING”, representing “TEAM International”. TEAM operates Branch Offices in The Netherlands, Balkan, Belgium , Dominican Republic, Honduras , Nicaragua, Germany, Iraq, Jordan, Singapore, Spain , Turkey, U.A.E. and Dubai Due to the fast and strong expansion of business it was decided in 2008 to merge the three identities into a new company, called “THE POWER SERVICE GROUP, S.A.” (PSG) The original members have been transformed into business units of this new company.
