New hours during health crisis: Friends of the Plaid Turnip: We at the Plaid Turnip always uphold high levels of cleanliness and sanitation and were being extremely diligent during the current health crisis in order to assure that our guests and employees remain healthy. We will continue to operate table service for as long as we are allowed by the... Virginia Department of Health during this event but we are also expanding our services to better accommodate social distancing practices. As of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 we will add the following services: We will offer curbside pickup for carry out orders for those who would rather not enter the restaurant. The full menu will be available for carry out and we will happily process payment over the phone to minimize contact. Guests can pull into the back parking lot of the Cultural Arts Center at 110 W. Finney Ave, Suffolk, Va 23434, park at the end of the white trellised walkway and call the restaurant, (757)923-9740 to have their order brought out. We will deliver orders to any City/Municipal building within a mile radius of the Courthouse. We will abide by the protocol established for visitors to the buildings, such as meeting out front of the building with the order. We do ask that for a $10 minimum order and there will be a $2 charge per delivery, so get your office to place an order together. ? We will offer prepared full family meals for pick up for 4 or more people starting at $8/person. Most meals will include an entrée, side item and salad or dessert. The initial list of offerings follow, but the menu will be added to. Simply order at least 2 hours prior to pick up (orders to be in before 530pmlast pick up at 730pm) and well have it ready for you.
