The Paint Spot

The Paint Spot is an owner-operated art materials store that features a focus on fine art products, many Canadian-made products for best value, a wide selection of Schmincke artist products and assistance for customers who have questions about materials. In 1985 we saw the opportunity to handle the Canadian-made D. L. STEVENSON artist paints, which... were not easily available in the west. Soon afterward, we added other product lines (such as Golden, Schmincke and da Vinci) which we felt should be accessible to local artists, over time developing the full assortment of product lines that we have today. All the while we maintained a concentration on fine art materials. We do more than put merchandise on the shelf and open the door. Our involved approach to fine art materials means employing experienced artists who can give advice; it means product testing; and it means actually testing many art products for lightfastness.
