The Outpost

The Outpost was established in 1991 and is owned and operated by the student union. Boasting two levels and over 10,000 sq feet, The Outpost is one of Canada's largest campus pubs. Located in the Student Center Building it is the Ideal place for students to have a bite to eat, study, take advantage of our free Wi-Fi, hang out with friends, or unwin... d from stressful day of class. The Outpost is a full service restaurant offering a diverse menu to cater to all different food preference from carnivore to vegan. Offering daily specials and old favourites it is the ideal place to grab a bite to eat between classes. Our evening programming has something for everyone to enjoy, from the sports fanatics to those who love to dance. We also host the only Country themed party in Thunder Bay on Saturdays. The most unique thing about The Outpost is that the revenue made goes directly back to the Student Union which helps to provide students with events and functions for the ultimate university experience. The Outpost is also one of the largest employers of student on campus, and we typically employee 40-50 students annually. The Outpost is one of Thunder Bay's best concert venues, playing host to such bands as: Run DMC, Blue Rodeo, Tragically Hip, more recently Alexisonfire, Finger 11 and countless local and up and coming Canadian artists.Read More
