About The Motor
The Motor Company Inc. (The Motor Company or TMC) is a Canadian drilling motor company, established in 2006. President and Manager Dan Gretener has 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He started his career as a roughneck with Bawden Drilling in the late 1970's. Dan graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1988 with a diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology. He founded and operated a construction company for the next four years. In 1992, he joined Halliburton as a MWD Technician. Over the next 13 years Dan worked in various positions within the Halliburton organization, which included Senior Directional Driller, Senior Technical Advisor, IDP Drilling Fluids Specialist, River Crossing Specialist, and Sperry-Sun Country Coordinator in Kuwait, Abu-Dhabi and Yemen.
