About The Modern Pet
With the acquisition of Lovin Arms Pet Center (now THE MODERN PET) in early 2019, Allen made his first foray into retail since he bagged groceries while in high school in the small Pennsylvania town in which he grew up. He moved to southern Utah from California with his partner Cindy in 2016. Today, they live with their four dogs, three horses, and (too many) chickens in a rural community outside of St. George. Allen was Director of Solution Strategy for PowerSchool Home and was co-founder and president of Haiku Learning, the best-in-class K12-learning platform known now as PowerSchool Learning. He joined PowerSchool in 2016 where he helped to incorporate PowerSchool Learning into the product offerings that became the Unified Classroom. He left that position in July 2017 and began a new career in commercial land development with Tech Ridge in St. George.
