The Knox Student

The Knox Student (TKS) is Knox Colleges award-winning student newspaper. Since 1878, TKS has been an independent voice of the campus, reporting and providing commentary on life at Knox College. TKS is student-written, student-run, and student-read. In a typical term, we publish and distribute new issues weekly. Currently, we have adjusted to only p... ublishing online in light of conditions created by COVID-19. TKS is split into four sections: New, Mosaic, Discourse, and Sports. We also provide content in other media, such as our ongoing podcast The Knox Study and past video series, The Knox Student has open meetings during the academic terms on Mondays at 5:15pm. Currently, these meetings are entirely virtual, but normally they would take place in the S.S. McClure Publications Office (AKA The Pub Office) in Seymour Union . The best way to stay informed on meetings is to contact us using the form on the right to ask to be placed on our mailing list. Any student at Knox College can volunteer to write or take photos for TKS. If you dont have experience, well give you whatever guidance you need to get started. If you wish to submit an opinion piece or letter to the editor, you may use the form on the right to get in touch. It is not required to come to our meetings to submit an opinion. We want to make sure that even if you arent involved with the paper, you still can make your voice heard on this campus. We do require that submissions be from a member of the Knox community; If from someone outside the Knox community, submissions must still be directly pertinent to Knox College.Read More
