The Internship

We believe that internships (paid and unpaid) are an integral part of the undergraduate or graduate education and is the platform for exceptional students to enter into the competitive industries of their choice. Many programs in university offer a comprehensive, liberal education, but theories and practice must meet somewhere. We understand that w... ith the current economy and the expansion of extracurricular commitments, not every student can find and/or juggle a full-time (or part-time) job relevant to his or her program of study. Yet, should the student want to find a job, the competitive environment demands established relevant experience. We think this is where internships come in. Not only are many internships seasonal, they give both the student a preview of the profession and the future recruiter a better candidate. The Internship loves initiative and wants to reciprocate the following: 1. An up-to-date internship opportunities list for each season of recruitment. We hate stumbling upon a fantastic opportunity only to realize that it was posted the previous year. We also want to save you time clicking page after page on Google search by centralizing all of our finds on one website. This way you can save time searching and focus on applying. 2. A blog about internship experiences (the good and the bad), the CV components, balancing academics and extracurriculars, and product reviews to make the contemporary student experience more enriching. 3. Skills, skills, skills. We want to help you build long-term skills that you may or may not learn on your internship, but could set you apart from the rest. Website building, a foreign language, software necessities, we want you to carry your skills all the way into a career. Above all we believe in transparency. Internships are not the best choice for everyone, particularly unpaid ones. Internships don't necessarily lead to full-time employment.
