Heyler Realty is proud to be the original real estate company of the Westside Triangle neighborhood. During the 1927s and '30s Los Angeles was a quickly expanding city, thanks to the wealth of oil drilling. Neighborhoods like Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills and downtown Los Angeles were home to wealthy businessmen who made their fortune during the city... 's oil boom. The surrounding areas quickly expanded to house the working-class families that supported the city's growing population. In 1927, Bill Heyler opened a small real estate office on Pico Boulevard in the area then known as "Westwood Hills". At that time the Janss Investment Corporation was developing affordable, middle-class family homes throughout the neighborhood to support the working class families of Los Angeles. California's original Drive-In Theatre was located at Pico Blvd and Westwood. Heyler knew it was important to give families the opportunity to enjoy their new neighborhood and preserve its natural beauty. That is why he fought to preserve open spaces like the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center, Rancho Park Golf Course and helped create the Riddick Youth Center on Overland Avenue. Heyler became a prominent name throughout West L.A. for his dedicated work to his community and loyalty to his neighbors. He is even credited with naming the neighborhood now known as Rancho Park. Heyler Realty was established on the principles of handshake integrity, dedicated client-commitment and community service. These same principles have been the lasting foundation of the company.
