The Green room was founded in 2009 by Elmarie van Heerden and is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Starting out as a small boutique, The Green Room has grown into one of Tanzania's most exciting and inspiring lifestyle brands. At the Green Room we've taken our inspiration from our love of the ocean, nature and sunshine and created an innovative col... lection of gifts, home ware, furniture and fashion. The Green Room signature look can now be found in spaces all over the world. Our collection is designed and produced in our workshops in Dar, but we also include products from more than 40 of the most talented artisans in Tanzania and beyond. We have partnered up with many charities and organizations who we support through the sales of our their products such as Sea Sense, Wildlife Conservation Society and the Southern Tanzanian Elephant Program to name a few.
