Dear Good Table UCC Friends, We will not be meeting for the near future in person, but I sincerely hope you will join us for worship via zoom conferencing on Sundays at 12n You can log in from your computer, download and us... e the zoom app on your phone or tablet, or dial in from your phone. There is no fee to participate and I hope you will find it to be user-friendly. Pastor Melinda will also be hosting virtual community office hours on by appointment via zoom and our Interfaith Meditation will meet at 6p in our zoom room. Please email Pastor Melinda for a zoom invitation to any of our virtual events, help with getting connected, or for spiritual care. Beloveds, this is a challenging time. Do not let our need for "physical distancing" keep you from reaching out to your neighbors, family, and friends. Call one another, send emails, check-in with each other. This is an uncertain and frightening time, but together we can tend our fear and find hope in community. A Vision for Community Café and Organic Tree and Plant Nursery operated by Planting Justice and Mira Vista United Church of Christ, now known as The Good Table United Church of Christ (GTUCC) When the leaders of Mira Vista UCC (MVUCC) and Planting Justice (PJ) first met in September 2018, both organizations immediately recognized the great synergy between the two groups for creating a community café with separate gathering spaces for education, spiritual celebrations, live music, and community events plus an organic tree and plant nursery at the site of the former Adachi nursery in El Sobrante. Many members of The Good Table UCC already live in El Sobrante and PJ has a farm close to the property with plans to operate in the area for the long term.
