The George Inn

A traditional pub at the heart of Frant village for over 250 years. In the centre of the Wealden village of Frant is the George Inn, two miles south of Tunbridge Wells. Built around 1750 the George has everything expected of a village inn well kept beers, traditional English food with continental variations, oak beams, log fires in winter. Greg and... Catherine Elliott took over the George in 2006 and have reestablished it at the heart of the community being a meeting point for local clubs, a watering hole for walkers, special food nights, quiz evenings, darts and just good company. The George Inn is a traditional village pub specialising in good food and fine hospitality. It comprises two bars, restaurant, large enclosed garden with childrens play area and a car park. All food is home made and served every session except Monday evenings and includes bar meals and snacks, daily specials, vegetarian dishes steak & ale pie, venison and lots of other traditional dishes including a roast on Sunday. We also keep an interesting wine list by the bottle and by the glass. Meals are served in the two bars, as well as the restaurant which is popular as a venue for celebrations, parties and functions, with catering tailored as required.
