Founded in 1965 as a rural day camp for youth, TFI Family Services has grown to become a multi-state child welfare organization providing a broad array of services to children and families. Specifically, TFI provides various types of services to local communities including foster and kinship care, domestic and international adoption, counseling sup... port and education, foster care training, and visitation and exchange centers. It serves as the parent company to multiple other non-profits in the region, including TFI Family Services, TFI Family Connections, Texas Family Initiative, Pathway Family Services, and Mainstream Nonprofit Solutions. Currently serving nearly 2,500 foster children per year, the organization is continuing to expand its behavioral health services outside of foster care. In the past decade, TFI became a licensed substance abuse treatment provider and opened a 49-bed Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility in 2010.Read More
