The Drum Magazine serves as a vehicle of information and communication for the community of Africans and Americans who have an interest in the African continent, its peoples and cultures. The Drum Magazine will dwell on issues poignantly relevant to its readers - issues so readily but deliberately underreported in the mainstream U.S. media. Cultura... l events which speak in the language discernible only to us shall be highlighted and showcased for our common good. Investment and trade opportunities of our way - the way - shall be made available. These include matters of immigration from the immigrants' points of view, African community cultural events, and opportunities in tourism, trade and investment in Africa. Diplomatic missions of African countries shall use The Drum Magazine as a medium of news dissemination. The Drum shall report Africa the way Africa should be reported - from an African viewpoint. The Drum Magazine will be distributed by subscription, through press outlets, as well as in selected bookshops and African shops throughout the U.S and Africa countries. The Drum Magazine will be a voice for Africa and Africans in the U.S - acting as an unbiased forum for American-African political, economic and cultural exchanges.
