The Drop is a wine bar and restaurant in Coal Drops Yard, King's Cross, from the people behind Barrafina, Quo Vadis and El Pastor. We serve carefully sourced wines and broadly British dishes, with a focus on provenance and personality. For us, the joy of drinking wine is about a shared experience. For this reason, many of the bottles on our list co... me from winemakers who we've met on our travels, or who we admire for their 'gently does it' approach to making wine. We look to classic regions where young, dynamic winemakers are making a splash with their own take on tradition, as well as celebrating weird and wonderful wines from lesser-trodden corners of the globe. Whether you want to go off the beaten path, or nd an old favourite - of which we'll try to select the best or most exciting example - we've got you covered. For something special, just ask for our little black book, which has a rotating selection of our favourite, 'when it's gone, it's gone' wines. Food-wise, we work simply with the best seasonal ingredients we can get our hands on. Beautiful meats, cheeses and vegetables, and the freshest oysters served from our cart.
