Established in 1991. We are coffee roasting specialist. Visit us and ask for a coffee roasting tour. In 30 minutes you can help us roast coffee using our Chinook Air Flow coffee roaster. If the "work" makes you hungry, set down for a coffee and some of the best Eggs Benedict you've ever had. Alternatively try our bacon & egg roll or maybe just avoc... ado on toast. While you are slaking your hunger & thirst let us roast a kilogram of any of our 36 single origin coffee for take home. It only takes 15 minutes; you'll be amazed! Since opening the doors of our Glebe terrace house in April 1991, we have been producing Air Roasted coffee with its distinctively clean taste allowing the complex flavours of modern coffee to be fully enjoyed. Join us for a coffee & tour the roastery. 1991: Frustrated with their inability to consistently source excellent roasted Arabica coffee, Dan & JoAnne Fitzsimmons started The Coffee Roaster with a 4Kg Air Roaster and a three group espresso machine. 2000: After the excitement of the Olympics, our Pyrmont roasting espresso bar is moved to a larger facility in Alexandria with coffee now roasted on a new larger locally designed and manufactured Chinook Air Roaster. While we can talk up a storm here, the coffee roasting process is a truly sensory experience.
