The Cloth Shop

The Cloth Shop started way back in February 1989, (over 25 years ago!), in The Village Gallery, Culcheth near Warrington in Cheshire, UK. It had been a dream of mine for many years to open my own fabric shop, to lovingly create a shop for fabric addicts like myself. In 1998, we moved to larger premises in the CPS Centre, still in the village of Cul... cheth. The CPS Centre is a thriving collection of independently owned shops, catering to the people of Cheshire area. My addiction to fabric is only seconded by my love of nice buttons & ribbons! and we have a fabulous selection of both. Our 100% cotton fabrics are suitable for both Quilters & Dressmakers, with a large selection of designs to choose from & an excellent range of plain colours to co-ordinate. For Dressmakers we complement our fabrics with patterns by Vogue, Butterick, Simplcity & New Look. Our selection of fabrics range from Prada Satin-backed crepe, crepe de chine, cotton poplin, polycottons, organza. jerseys, wool, oriental jaquards & novelty fabrics. We always stock basics - waddings, linings, interfacings, calico etc. Some of our fabrics are limited editions, 'when they are gone...they're gone'. New & exciting fabrics are regularly arriving - keeping in touch, calling into the shop or visiting our website is essential to keep up to date. We have always catered for Needle crafters with a range of Aida & Evenweave embroidery fabrics on the roll. We stock both Anchor & DMC embroidery silks, Anchor Tapestry wools, speciality threads by Kreinik & Treasure Braide, Mill Hill Beads & Treasures to complete the needle project. We have a limited stock of the 'Lavender & Lace' & 'Miribilia' cross stitch charts for the experienced & discerning cross-stitcher.
