The Clarence

The Clarence is a wonderful Victorian Town House that is ideally situated in a quiet location behind The Alexandra Gardens on The Esplanade, Weymouth. All of our rooms are equipped with flat screen televisions and DVD players and free WiFi throughout the house with some of the rooms equipped with fridges. Hospitality trays are kept well stocked on... a daily basis and Molton Brown toiletries are in the bathrooms. For our guests comfort and good a nights rest we use fine Egyptian cotton bed linen. Having had a good nights rest indulge in our award winning breakfast in our breakfast room. There is something for everyones taste. A buffet of fresh fruits, cereals and fruit juice. And from the menu the full english or perhaps a fish dish. Downstairs there is a comfortable lounge with settees and arm chair together with a large flat screen television and DVD player. The Town Centre with all the usual shops and pubs is only a few minutes away. The famous award winning Weymouth Beach is a 2 minute stroll from the front door. On your way to the beach stop and admire the internationally renowned sand carvings. Weymouths picturesque working harbour is just minutes from The Clarence. The Pavilion Theatre is again only a short walk and during the summer months has a full programme of entertainment. On the far side of the harbour is the Nothe Fort and the wonderful Nothe Gardens. Enjoy the walk around the harbour or alternatively take a short cut and get rowed across the harbour on the rowing boat ferry. Operating from various locations around the harbour ferry boats can take you on a trip around Portland Harbour or along the Jurassic Coast to Lulworth Cove. The Jurassic Coast stretches east and west with Weymouth very near the centre of it. There are some wonderful walks to be had in the area either starting or finishing in Weymouth.
