The Buddi Group was founded by Travis Truter after a 22 year career in sales, marketing and people management. His goal with The Buddi Group was to set up a group of companies for like-minded individuals, with experience, passion and drive; to take a certain level of ownership, however continue doing what they were really good at. He found that the... re were many superb individuals working in companies that he did business with, who were not really getting compensated for their brilliance. The Buddi Group would give these individuals a chance to create their own destiny, doing what they were good at, with a negotiated percentage of ownership immediately and/or on terms. After studying 3 and a half years to be a Teacher, Travis had a change of heart and wanted to pursue a career in sales. His sales and management experience began in 1994 when he started his sales career working for various companies as a sales representative. He then quickly proceeded to climb ranks into management positions, learning as much as possible and specifically trying create programs on how to get the best performances out of his staff. He was the National General Manager for a financial services company, where he managed a multitude of channels, specifically within the Banking and Financial services space. He developed and managed thousands of people with multi-million rand targets, created cradle to grave operating procedures, established relevant training programs, specifically for Fin-Services businesses to achieve their sales and marketing growth objectives. Travis currently resides in Johannesburg and outside of work serves as a committee member for the Bedfordview Cricket Club. He has various passions, which include his family, cricket, hockey and fishing. He is an avid fan of team sports and believes that weekly exercise and an active social life helps keep the mind fresh and stress free.
