It is with a very heavy heart that after 16 years of running The Blue Bicycle restaurant, we announce the retirement of the current owners and management from the business. We have given careful consideration to this difficult decision, following 3 years of tireless effort behind the scenes dealing with the significant structural and cosmetic damag... e to our buildings caused by the flooding on 26 December 2015. Ownership of the building remains unchanged, but we are seeking new tenants for the property. Whilst The Blue Bicycle restaurant remains closed, we are pleased to confirm that we have recently reopened the doors and welcomed guests back to our beautifully restored luxury self-catering apartments in Franklins Yard. Formerly known as The Blue Rooms @ The Blue Bicycle, we have rebranded as Franklins Apartments, with a new look logo, website & signage. A chilled bottle of Champagne and a welcome basket of locally sourced produce such as artisan bread, handmade biscuits and jam, eggs, butter, milk, farmhouse yoghurts, still and sparkling water, premium Gin & Tonic and Whisky is provided as a welcome gift to arriving guests. A selection of tea, coffee and Nespresso pods is also provided with our compliments.
