The Barwa

Barwa is involved in philanthropic way from the very beginning of its presence on the market. It was already in the 40s when it started to function as a cooperative, being involved in local initiatives addressed to the population of Cracow. During the systemic changes of 1949 in Poland on basis of legal system Barwa switched from cooperative into c... ompany, though still keeping up with its tradition of helping local communities. At present Barwa is involved in permanent cooperation with Stowarzyszenie Pikne Anioy (Beautiful Angels Association), which supports poor families by providing in-kind help in order to improve their social and living conditions. The Company's manufacturing potential is cosmetics and household care products, which for some families are still a luxury. Therefore Barwa made the decision to bring help with the best it is able to offer. Furthermore the Company gets involved in natural environment protection by introducing waste segregation in offices, limiting the electric energy consumption and using old documents as paper sheets to be printed. Since 2014 Barwa decided to support Stowarzyszenie Czysta Polska (Clean Poland Association) in Czyste Tatry (Clean Tatra) action. Therefore necessary cosmetic products were delivered to volunteers, who were involved in a five-day action of cleaning Tatra National Park of waste.
