The Audio Surgeon

I have been a lover of high-end audio gear ever since I heard my friend play Blood Sweat and Tears "Spinning Wheel" on his reel-to-reel tape deck and A.R. speakers. I was 12 back then. That first audio-awareness moment, that moment in your life when you really feel the music for the first time, created an insatiable thirst for ultra high-end audio... equipment. The thirst translated into an active, lifelong pursuit of the perfect sound. My persistence lead down some interesting paths. It got to the point where I became so engaged in achieving the perfect sound that I began calling the manufacturers to check with them about their equipment. After multiple discussions, a manufacturer recognized that I had a talent for the intricacies of audio. Listening to their equipment and giving them with my input helped the manufacturer make their equipment sound better. I seem to be able to discriminate between the best of the best equipment. Eventually, Harry Pearson, the founder of Absolute Sound, heard about me and we became very close friends. Harry took my recommendations very seriously. I was responsible for putting many of our most prominent American manufacturers on the map by recommending their gear to Harry and the reviews he wrote through my recommendations. Such a passion for something never wanes, and as time goes on, it can actually deepen. It has always been a dream of mine to open an audio dealership. Therefore, once I retired, I made my dream come true with The Audio Surgeon. My motivation is to develop a personal one on one relationship with my clients to help them invest wisely and efficiently. Thats something of a rarity these days.
