The Art Studio

The Art Studio is an art studio teaching students in Orange County and Los Angeles Area since 1994. We offer art classes, workshops and events, and summer camps for kids, teens, adults and all experience levels! Owner Denise Wada has over 25 years experience teaching art and graphic design. Upon entering the studio, students begin a journey where talent is nurtured, interests are embraced, and learning is fun. One size does not fit all, and every part of our teaching process is meant to meet the interest, development, and personality of the individual student with knowledge and techniques to visual expression. In our technologically fast-paced world, our goal is to quiet the noise so students can hear their voice, explore what interests them, have the courage to express themselves, and become problem solvers as they create art. As a child, I loved to draw horses. I would check out books from the library and take them home to draw the covers. But as I grew up, I began to fill my time with other interests. In preparing for college, I considered accounting, art therapy, and illustration. I received a Bachelor of Arts from California State University Long Beach in Graphic Design. It was my search for art classes for my young daughter when I found The Art Studio. I was the one who began taking weekly oil painting classes and, full circle, I found my youthful love for art. As a self-taught artist in drawing and painting, I have taken numerous workshops, read books, visited museums, and continually practice, practice, practice. It is my vision, as an instructor, to help others find an artistic interest that will feed their soul. I strive to serve students the art education that is both serious and fun.
