The idea for the company came at a family barbecue, where the decision was made to source the finest cooking products to serve the UK's growing interest in outdoor cooking with natural fuels. Michael explains: "It's all about offering the best in outdoor cooking products. The Alfresco Chef's products produce great food and theatre for friends and family. Selecting the right products for the job was a challenge that involved testing all manner of equipment, but our brands stood out. In order to get their message out, The Alfresco Chef works with a growing retailer network including garden centres and stove shops. Each one is selected for their interest in outdoor cooking, and their ability to demonstrate and display each product to customers. Close ties have also been formed with influential organisations such as the Q Guild of Butchers, a group of butchers chosen for their ability to provide quality produce to the public.
