About Texas Task Force
Texas Task Force 2 is one of two state Urban Search and Rescue teams in Texas, dedicated to locating, extricating, rescuing, and providing immediate medical treatment to victims of natural or man-made disasters. The team supports first responders when their capabilities are exceeded and develops effective rescue technologies in line with FEMA guidelines. Established in 2007, TX-TF2 is a Type-3 US&R task force that has evolved into a Type-II task force, capable of rapid deployment across Texas. The organization is supported by the Texas Division of Emergency Management and the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service.Explore more
