Texas Hat

Texas Hat Co. was founded by Manuel and Anna Torres in 1979, with its first location being their home. Anna was in charge of shipping and administration while her husband Manuel took charge of distribution and manufacturing. Between them they built Texas Hat Co. from 4 hat styles to over 120 styles that are on hand and in stock at any given time. T... heir first factory in Mexico was just over 5,000 sqft., but by the late 90s that grew into an 80,000 sqft. facility with more than 150 factory workers. Their family also grew within that time, and in the year 2000 they moved their business to a new location in Laredo, TX which was a drastic change from their 2,200 sqft. enclosed patio at their home. The new location was 14,000 sqft. of warehouse and 2,000 sqft. of office space which allowed Texas Hat to break through into the 21st century. With all the space and new styles Texas Hat quickly grew even larger and began supplying private label hats to many of the countrys premier western outfitters. Texas Hat Co. has come a long way from its humble beginnings, but it still remains a family owned business to this day. Brothers Joaquin (Manufacturing) and Manuel (Distribution) have taken Texas Hat Co. to new heights, and now do business out of a 24,000 sqft. facility in Dallas, TX.
