TESL books was established in 1983 to service the needs of the English as a Second Language sector, providing resources for both students & teachers alike. We provide resources for IELTS, Cambridge English Exams, TOEFL, TOEIC, Workplace english, English for Academic Purposes,Business English, CELTA,TEFL (and any other acronym you can think of) and... Australian ESL. TESL books is currently owned and operated by Fernando Cortes whose family migrated from South America in the late 1970's. Fernando was raised bilingual, speaking English at school and Spanish at home but his passion for ESL came from his first hand experience of watching his parents and their friends trying to learn English. For them and so many migrants to this day, learning English was/is a way to provide a better future for themselves and their families and being a part of that journey is what excites him everyday. Over the years TESL books has had many locations, from Collins St to Mulgrave and then Windsor and then in 2017 the decision was made to exclusively be an online bookstore based out of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Although our shopfront these days is online we also love helping people over the phone, via email or even on facebook and for schools we also offer a display option, where we come to you with a selection of relevant titles for you to peruse. hat's because we care about helping you choose the right resources, getting them at the right price and even packaging those valuable resources in a caring way to ensure they arrive safely and quickly.
