Fashion is my favorite form of self expression. I am the product of colliding cultures and a life that has taken me all around the world. My inspiration is drown from the amazing experiences I have had along the way. Empowering women through fashion brings meaning to what can sometimes be a shallow industry. I have done this in the past by teaching... women in developing nations how to sew and hope to continue support for these programs through my new womens fashion line. The best fashion isnt simply clothing to be worn, but tells the world who you are and helps others in the process. Being a fashion designer has been my dream since I sketched my very first design in the sixth grade. It has been a long journey to get to where I am today and I am so excited to see where things go from here. My designs celebrate my East African heritage with an added modern edge. I have been designing collections since college and have a heart for womens empowerment. I am currently in the process of developing the first design of my new womens clothing line under the label TENZI. This new line will be filled with bright and bold statement pieces to liven up any wardrobe. My desire is for customers to feel confident in their clothing and for a percentage of the proceeds to sponsor women's empowerment projects around the globe.Read More
