Temple Beth El is one of the oldest Reform Jewish congregations in the Los Angeles area. We serve the South Bay the communities of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, the Beach Cities, Torrance, San Pedro, and Long Beach. We strive to be warm, welcoming, friendly, inclusive, caring, and accepting. Large enough to host a variety of inspiring services and ev... ents; small enough to maintain meaningful connections with each family personally. Our focus is on warmth and friendship, caring and acceptance without judging others. Here everyone is welcome, regardless of age, marital status, sexual orientation, a Jew by birth or by choice as well as interfaith families. At Temple Beth El all are welcomed and cared about, elders are revered, and children are cherished. My name is Cassi Kail, and I am both humbled and overjoyed by the opportunity to serve as the next Rabbi of Temple Beth El. I look forward to serving Temple Beth Els congregation and, along with my husband, Josh, and our children Noam and Talia, getting to know San Pedro and the South Bay. From the moment I walked through this synagogues doors, I knew I wanted to be a part of the Beth El community. It was not the stunning new building that most impressed me, but rather the people within. I feel immense gratitude to work alongside the superbly talented and devoted leadership of Cantor Ilan Davidson and Educator Racheli Morris. There is a sense of pride in Beth Els rich 97-year-old history. I am proud to join in your commitment to upholding this rich legacy while embracing the enormous opportunities of today. Cantor Davidson has served Temple Beth El since 1995. Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Cantor Davidson claims both the South Bay and Rishon LeZion, Israel as his home.
