Temple Anshei Shalom

When Temple Anshei Shalom was founded in the fall of 1980, the thought of having a membership approaching one thousand was indeed a remote idea. The forty congregants that made up our first High Holyday services at a local condo apartment were content to have a traditional, conservative service that they felt completely comfortable with....Dayenu.... But the growth of south Florida forced a lot of re-thinking. We were fortunate enough to receive a beautiful piece of land conveniently located on Atlantic Avenue in lovely Delray Beach and things just "moved along". Our facility now consists of a magnificent building housing a spacious Sanctuary, a lovely Chapel (for daily services), a banquet hall (which doubles for additional seating during the high holydays), ample office space and classroom facilities, a stage and annexes for when we really get busy. Our Rabbi and Cantor officiate at all Shabbat, Yom Tov and special services...generally to substantial crowds. The congregation also boasts many retired Rabbis and Chazzanim from around the United States and Canada. Above all, the original concepts of spiritual comfort and a friendly atmosphere have continued to today. After joining, you will find a welcoming environment which seeks to either incorporate you into its family, or have you volunteer in one of the many organizations that are active participants...at your choosing.
