Techrider

TECHRIDER is based in Bergen, on the west coast of Norway, with subsidiaries in USA (Techrider Inc) and Austria (Techrider GmbH). The companies are run and largely owned by people and corporations with deep roots within both the Norwegian- & international snowboard community. The product idea dates back to the early 90s when two aspiring Norwegian... snowboarders started making snowboard visualization figures out of cardboard paper & duckt-tape to invent new tricks and improve their riding skills. As the years passed by, these homemade figures where rapidly improving and getting significantly more functional. The feedback from other snowboarders who saw and tested them was tremendous, and when even the PROs started asking for figures, the two enthusiasts realized that they needed to take it to the next level. A good decade after the idea originally emerged, Techrider AS was established. Late 2007 the two subsidiaries Techrider GmbH and Techrider Inc where established to handle distribution in Europe & North America respectively.
