Technical Assistance Program

TAP is an interdenominational program. Each mission served must subscribe to our articles of faith. All equipment that has been donated to TAP and rehabilitated by volunteer workers at the shop are freely given to the missions. The mission is asked to pay only for necessary shipping fees, new equipment that is requested or necessary items over and... above the equipment cost. This enables missions to have valuable communications at costs far below market price installed by donated and expertly trained labor. OPPORTUNITIES: There are opportunities to become involved in foreign or stateside service, particularly for the experienced telephone worker. TAP has worked worldwide and constantly has requests from Christian camps, conference centers, Christian schools and churches at home (USA). For those living in the San Diego, California area there is work to be done at the warehouse/shop in El Cajon. What's to be done? Packing, crating, disassembling of surplus and obsolete equipment to salvage for parts, cleaning telephones, etc. Much of this labor can be done by untrained helpers. However, the most urgent need is for telephone engineers and technicians with backgrounds in both inside and outside plant. All staff and volunteer personal provide their own support as there are no paid workers in TAP.Read More
