About Teche Electric Supply
Teche Electric Supply was founded by brothers Magruder "Mac" Hays and Pete Hays in Lafayette, LA in April of 1962. This original operation was located on Jefferson Street in a 5,000 square foot rented building. Customer parking accommodated about 4 vehicles. Today, four decades later, Teche is still locally owned and operated and now occupies a 52,000 square foot building on 5.5 acres of land. Teche Electric Supply also includes a network of 16 locations across Southwest Louisiana. 1962 - Teche Electric founded in Lafayette. 1977 - Teche Electric opens its first branch location in Houma, marking its first venture outside Lafayette. 1978 - Teche Electric opens its second branch in Abbeville on State Street.Explore more
